13 Dec A Letter from Lance
Dear Winter Park Baptist Church Family,
It has been an incredible privilege to have served as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Recreation at Winter Park Baptist Church for the past 13 years. However, I feel that God is calling me in a different direction. It is with some sadness that I let you know that my last day at Winter Park will be Sunday, January 9, 2022. This was not a recent or easy decision, and
I have enjoyed my time here immensely.
I cannot begin to describe what these last 13+ years have meant to me. The opportunity to have worked with all of these incredible teenagers and getting to see them grow into amazing young adults, who love Christ and want to further his kingdom, has been a blessing beyond words. The way that this church supports the youth has always been an inspiration to me.
Amber and I could never begin to express the appreciation that we have for the love that this church family has shown to us and our boys. It has been an honor to have had so many of you pour into the lives of our boys and teach them about God’s love. We have all grown at Winter Park and learned so much about serving and loving God. We will forever cherish the wonderful relationships that we have developed at Winter Park. I am retiring from church ministry, but we are not leaving Wilmington. I will be working full time with our family business. While there is so much about youth ministry that I will miss, I find that I am greatly looking forward to spending more time with Amber, Bo, Dillon, and Duke.
We will pray for Winter Park as all of you continue to join the work that God is doing here in Wilmington and the rest of the world.
