Serving Meals with NC Baptist on Mission
• Need: 12 volunteers per meal that Winter Park is signed up to lead. (Subject to change as needed)
• Days: Tues, Thursday, Saturday
• Times: 10am-1pm and 3pm-6pm
• Where: The First Baptist Activity Center on Independence

Donated Supplies Preparation with Catholic Charities at the Harrelson Center
• What: Receiving and sorting donated items so they can quickly be distributed
• Who: Must be able to lift some heavier items (cases of water, diapers, etc.)
• When: Mon – Fri 10:00am – 12:00pm (local drop offs) 12:00pm – 2:00pm (truck unloads)
• Where: The Harrelson Center parking deck
Yard Debris Removal and Mudouts
• What: Helping community members who need a hand with yard clean up as well as mudouts of flood victims
• Who: Youth 15-17 (with parental help) and Adults 18-75

Canvasing of Impacted Communities with Catholic Charities
• What: Collecting information door to door in New Hanover and Brunswick counties to determine needs in particular areas
• Who: Adults with transportation
• How: Must complete conversing training prior to serving

The impact of Florence will remain with our community for months and years to come. We have an on-going partnership with The Help Hub to provide assistance to our neighbors in need.

Needed Donations (items)
Catholic Charities is collecting the following items. Winter Park Baptist Church is a collection center for donated items, so please bring donations to the church office.
Items Needed:
• Water
• Non-perishable food
• Baby products (diapers, wipes, non-perishable food, formula)
• Cleaning supplies (paper towels, wipes, bleach, spray cleaner)
• $25 Speedway Gift cards (for gas)
• $25 Food Lion and Wal-Mart Gift cards (for food)
• Toiletries (toilet paper, feminine products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, shaving cream, razors)
• New socks, new underwear (especially children’s), new undershirts
• NO clothing, furniture or other items please.
If you have a need such as yard work and mudout, please go to the First Baptist Activity Center and speak with the NC Baptist on Mission team.
