Facility Use Update

Over the last few weeks, we’ve received many questions regarding the use of Winter Park’s facilities during the shelter-in-place order and whether or not they are available for any form of public or private use. In brief, all Winter Park facilities and premises are currently closed for public or private use.

This policy also applies to typical church-related activities, such as small group gatherings, celebrations/meals, volunteer work around the campus, and outdoor activities on Winter Park premises. Please note, however, that paid construction contractors may still be present during this time, as they are completing projects that were already in progress prior to the current pandemic, projects that must be completed in a timely fashion to prevent the deterioration of Winter Park facilities. Similarly, the church office will remain open from 9am-1pm, Monday through Friday.

We recognize that such closures inhibit many of the activities we hold dear, though we also must seize the opportunity to nurture the many spiritual disciplines still available to us. During this time, we encourage each of you to explore what it means to honor God through rest, through reading Scripture daily, through constant prayer, and through loving those around you. And may we all find hope in Jesus’ words, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matt. 28:20b).
