The toddler program is designed to offer our youngest children the opportunity to participate in language development, art, music and rhythm, dramatic play, building and construction as well as sand and water activities. The toddler classrooms are set up in play areas so the child may “work” while learning through freedom of choice.
In our two-year-old program, we focus on rapidly developing language skills and becoming more independent. Large motor development is improving as they learn to run, jump and climb. They are also learning to self-regulate their emotions and follow simple instructions. Most children also begin the process of potty training.
In our three-year-old program, we foster their new-found curiosity. They are given many opportunities to explore their world and ask questions. They continue to develop large motor skills as well as begin to develop fine motor skills by sorting, cutting, and using a variety of art materials. They are also given ample chances to work on pre-writing, pre-math, and pre-literacy skills.
Our four-year-old program supports cognitive and language development through carefully prepared and executed lesson plans. We also focus on important social-emotional skills including conflict resolution, developing empathy, and caring for our friends and community.
All of our classes include music, art and Bible lessons daily. Our Children's Minister visits each class weekly for Chapel, a special time of prayer, songs and bible stories.
